Although I do not subscribe to "Intelligent Design" it has made an very good point with Irreducible Complexity. (Michael Behe's example of the mouse trap is an excellent point and analogy). Even though I subscribe to Darwinian Evolution (Possibly Theistic Evolution) this issue with Irreducible Complexity need to be looked at or addressed somehow.
I recently came across the idea of Emergent Theory, which I think may very well 'do away' with the Irreducible Complexity problem.
(a good example of Emergent Theory is water. Neither Hydrogen nor Oxygen has the quality of surface tension, yet when combined (H2O - water) this new property exhibits itself: Surface Tension. Remove either element (chemical) and water's surface tension becomes impossible. Water's surface tension could have been described as an Irreducible Complex system).
Irreducible Complexity vs. Emergent Theory.
Any thoughts?
