"The art of never not moralizing." An idea derived from the Philosopher: Isaiah Berlin.
"The hedgehog knows one big thing, but the fox knows many things." ..................... "I never meant it very seriously. I meant it to be an intellectual game, but it was taken seriously. Every classification throws light on something." ......... Isaiah Berlin
Classifying people may very well throw light on something, but it could also have the opposite effect of casting a shadow and of being anti-personalistic and destructive of the well being of a person. It depends on the character and competence of those in the person's life space.
Those who have the tendency toward being hedgehogs should be aware of their need to overcome the downside of being simple-minded. Those who have the tendency toward being foxes should be aware of their need to overcome the downside of being muddle-headed.

I didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life."

^ This is such an interesting way to look at the world. If only Steve Jobs was still alive - I'd love to ask him about about this.
I think it's all good. God is love. God is holy. God is Spirit. It requires a lifetime of devotion to Jesus to begin to understand the significance of it all. Sounds like a worthwhile pursuit to me. ‘Other’ - the Ooze

Do Buddhist stories/proverbs belong in this thread? I think they should. :)
"An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots , each hung on the ends of a pole , which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water , at the end of the long walk from the stream to the house , the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily , with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course , the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection , and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.
After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure , it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself , because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."
The old woman smiled , "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path , but not on the other pot's side?" "That's because I have always known about your flaw , so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path , and every day while we walk back , you water them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are , there would not be this beauty to grace the house."
“It is a curious thing, but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. Those who have leadership thrust upon them, and take up the mantle because they must, and find to their own surprise that they wear it well.” - Albus Dumbledore
