I, for one, am excited about a Causes section here on the Ooze.  I thought it would be cool to compile a bit of a list of the causes we get behind either ideologically or financially.  Here are a few causes which have received my support, or will receive my support in the future:

http://www.invisiblechildren.com/ - Invisible Children works through creative means to end the use of child soldiers in Uganda.  They have started many businesses in Uganda, and I had the opportunity to see their t-shirts, messenger bags, and other products for sale at Cornerstone 2010.  The products are high quality and worth every one of your pennies.

http://www.charitywater.org/ - Charity:Water is an organization who donates 100% of their contributions to providing clean water in places that don't have it.  I love their fiscal responsibility and their vision.

http://newlifeforhaiti.org/ - New Life for Haiti is the organization I started giving money to after the earthquake.  I like that they're grassroots.  I like the idea that I see the results of my donations on a monthly basis with their missionary's blogs and pictures.  It feels like my small money does more work with this organization than with others.

    InvisiblePeople.tv -
The face and voice of homelessness. Started by homeless activist Mark
Horvath who was once homeless himself. He interviews folks while he's
spending time with them on the streets so you can hear their stories
firsthand. This page is a good
    place to start.

Jon, I'm sure you know this already but your post is blank. That keeps
happening to mine too. I have to go back and edit the post to insert the
    content otherwise it doesn't appear.

actually i did not know this until i went back. It was there when I posted it. Hmmmm....

At any rate... what I meant to say was:

This is a good idea. In fact, maybe we should create a page on theooze.com that let's people add their links to an actual list of causes. I'll look into this further.

I've been working with two charities recently for our film 'My Name Is Sorrow'

    They are:
'Unchosen' a charity which raises awareness of human trafficking through film campaigns - http://www.unchosen.org.uk/index.html

    AND:
'Unseen', which provides safe-houses and counselling for the survivors of sex trafficking - http://www.unseenuk.org/
